What we're doing here is getting a feel for what bones do, they can be a little abstract so here's a few projects to give you a more visual clue as to what's going on.
Here's a tutorial based on part of an animation we did. This will explain how to morph a spline. There are many great reasons to morph a spline but in this case we'll be using it to deform and animate an object that was created by rotating the spline.
Cel Shading is the technique of rendering 3D models and scenes so that they look "hand drawn" like a Disney movie or "Ren and Stimpy" "The Simpsons" etc... Basically you use high tech computers and software to make something look like it was drawn with a pencil.
