This tutorial will teach you how to create an animation of a planet shockwave explosion in outer space. This tutorial will involve using a set of tools including the built-in Earth map/material, ring wave, bomb, and the PArray particle system. We will start off by modeling the planet then we will texture it, add a ring waver, bomb, and a PArray particle system. This is an intermediate level tutorial, make sure you know the basics of 3D Studio Max before attempting it.

This tutorial will teach you how to use the particle system of instancing in 3D Studio Max to duplicate a moving arrow that will flow through a tube without penetrating the tube boundaries. The lesson illustrated in this tutorial could be used to create flowing particle movements such as that of blood cells in a vein. This an advanced level tutorial, you are expected to have sufficient knowledge of how to work with 3D Studio Max before attempting it.

This tutorial shall teach you how to create a realistic looking cigarette smoke that gradually fades out. This tutorial shall teach you one of the many possible that can be used to achieve this result, ours will use the Super Spray particle emitter. This tutorial will not cover the process of modeling and texturing the cigarette object, you can refer to our other tutorials that cover modeling and texturing if you need help.

This tutorial will teach you how to make a complex geometric abstract design in simple and straightforward steps using Autodesk's 3D Studio Max. The tutorial requires no advanced skills as we will use very basic elements to create this effect that mostly involves creating boxes and configuring the target camera.

This tutorial will teach you how to model a mosque dome using three main techniques:
1) the box modelling technique for creating the base of the dome,
2) the lathe modifier for creating the body of the dome,
3) loft modelling technique for creating the metal tip of the dome. This tutorial will cover only the modeling part of the project. The texturing process will be explored in a future tutorial.

This tutorial will teach you how to create a grass field in 3D Studio Max using the 'Scatter' Compound Modifier. This modifier could be used to scatter copies of any object on a surface of another object. The technique learnt in this tutorial could be used to generate similar scenes of any scattered content that needs to be spread over a certain area. Below is an example image of what we will be creating by the end of this tutorial.

This tutorial will teach you how to create an animation of a missile that flies targeting an object and then explodes when hitting that target. Our animation will be created using the Particle Flow Source (PF Source). PF Source is a powerful multi-purpose particle system that lets us manipulate a large number of particles to create effects such as fire, rain, snow, and smoke. We will PF Source in this tutorial to create our missile animation by doing the following:

This tutorial will teach you how to create a foggy scene in 3D Studio Max. We will create our scene using two atmospheric filters: "Fog" and "Volume Fog". It is possible to create a foggy scene using one of these alone, you shall be able to experiment with these on your own once you are done with this tutorial. We are using this model (MAX File) in our tutorial, please download it to follow this tutorial.

This tutorial will explore one of the many functions of Reactor in 3DS Max, which is a powerful tool that lets us simulate various real-life physics so that we can, for example, simulate physical behaviours such as wind, wheels and motors. We will learn in this tutorial how to create a simulation of a fan with the help of the Reactor Motor, Point Constraint, CSolver, and the Rigid Body Collection. We will show you how to use these reactors to create an animation similar to the one you see below. This is an intermediate level tutorial, make sure that you know the 3DS Max basics before attempting this tutorial.
