Making animations with special effects such as lens flares requires that lights be directed at the camera in order for the effects to be visible. Using the special "Point at" modifier in Carrara it is easy to not only manipulate objects that need to track the camera, but also manipulating lights to constantly point at the camera and enable their effects.
