This tutorial teaches how to make stereoscopic renders of 3D scenes using a new tool, the Stereoscopic Camera. This tool is attached to this tutorial as a DAZ Studio scene. The tutorial also teaches basic rules for stereoscopic photography composition. The creation of stereoscopic image consists of two steps: two renders of the scene in DAZ Studio and image registration/cropping using external software. The image can be viewed on any monitor using standard red/cyan eyewear.

If you’re making your own simple props by exporting OBJs, you might have a hard time positioning them. Maybe you want your figure to have matching bracelets on each wrist, and you have the left one in the perfect position, but you just can’t get the right one into position. Or you’ve made a custom cat ear prop for a half-human, half-beast character and gotten one ear into position, but the other ear isn’t cooperating.
This tutorial will help you put non-smart-propped props in matching positions on either side of a figure.

With a little bit of tinkering, DAZ Studio is capable of a great many thing, many of them quite simply and easily done. We are going to show you a method of making basic velvet shader presets using only the DAZ Studio Default Shader Presets. The effect will resemble that of a deep, rich velvet. We're going to use the dzSkin shader because it provides an option for Subsurface Scattering (SSS), and that's what is going to help me mimic the look of velvet.

Puppeteer allows you to create interesting animations by smoothly changing between keyframes using an intuitive mouse-based interface. This tutorial is going to show how to use Puppeteer to create a simple walk cycle that can be slowed down or sped up, even made more realistic or exaggerated, easily and on the fly. More complex versions of this technique can be used to get your characters dancing, to a rhythm you choose!

DAZ Studio's camera controls add a different perspective and can help you set focal point in unique and dramatic ways. Studio doesn't duplicate real world lenses, but it comes close. Depth of Field can help create mystery, tie elements together visually or otherwise bring the viewers attention to some point in your composition and renders.
This tutorial addresses methods for using Depth of Field, Focal Distance and F/Stop.

DAZ|Studio's camera controls add a different perspective and can set the focal point of your composition in unique and dramatic ways. The controls do a decent job of simulating the operation of a real camera lens and effects. This tutorial addresses the Focal Length parameter and shows how you can use a virtual telephoto lens to add drama to your composition.
