In Parts 1 and 2 of this tutorial we designed out buts off, now its time to bring it all together. FontLab is a powerful program, in the right hands, and can be pretty complicated and challenging at first. This tutorial will simply skim the surface of what is possible within FontLab.
In this tutorial we will show you how to create a grimy text treatment utilizing Illustrator’s Blog brush, Live Paint, and a pen tablet. You can easily apply these techniques to other illustrates, type treatments and logos.

We will learn how to make some comic styled text in this video! You will learn how to break text down and add gradients, you will also learn how to create a fake 3D effect as well as some stroke options. All of these techniques will come together in the end as we create a comic book cover worthy logo.
We are using Illustrator CS3, although CS2 should work fine as well with this video, to create some metal text that is fully vector. We will apply various strokes, expand strokes, work with effects, groups, and gradients and more!
