When ever we would install a new version of Illustrator, we would quickly turn off the Smart Guides. They always seemed confusing, but after working with Illustrator for a while, we have become reliant on Illustrator’s Smart Guides. If you don’t use Smart Guides, you should! It will help you create cleaner files, speed up productivity, and be more precise when creating artwork in Illustrator.

For this tutorial, we’ll use Livebrush’s innovative motion brush feature to create abstract shapes. We’ll then bring those shapes into Illustrator for further assembly and editing. Gradient Mesh can be daunting for a beginner. Trying to achieve realism takes a lot of time, effort and patience. If you are intimidated by Gradient Mesh, this might be a good place to start.
