PSP 5 has got some new, and very powerful, features. With this power have come some changes, though. Today we will show you how you can save a GIF image with the transparency feature active under version 5.x of PSP. So here's how it's done!
PSP 4.1x has some pretty cool features that enable you to create effects that might not be immediately obvious. For example, you've probably seen some of the edges that artists add to their photographs and wonder how they do that. There are a number of methods, of course. One method that weI often use is the excellent plug-in filters from Auto F/X. These enable me to put samples together quickly for a client without blowing their whole budget. Even without the filters you can create some nice-looking edges. The following technique demonstrates how to do this in PSP without filters.
Create a central area of focus within your photo, using the Depth of Field tool to blur the remaining areas. This lets you focus attention within seconds; a result that usually requires precise, manual aperture adjustment at the time the photo is taken.
Introduce graduated coloring (tinting and color effects) to the whole photo or a certain part of the photo to create a particular mood or special effect. For example, make the sky appear pink as though the sun is setting on the land.
Follow this short lesson to find tips for creating the best panoramic photo. With Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, you can easily take a series of photographs and stitch them together seamlessly to create a wider or taller view that gives your image more impact.
